Abstract: Spurring the hobby closer to self-sustaining commerce through more efficient propagation techniques. In this presentation we will examine improved techniques for new and advanced reef keepers alike to employ for optimizing efforts and resources in coral propagation endeavors. Regardless of impending legislature (or not), it is necessary that empathetic admirer’s of the sea realize a self-sustaining (zero wild-impact) industry of aquacultured coral. Here I will give very specific examples, numbers and figures for the potential to alleve trade burdens on wild collected reef organisms and detail the potential for great profits too! Let’s all work together to achieve this dream sooner rather than later. For the sake of our beloved hobby and conservation, we must realize this dream.
